Witness / Dash cam / CCTV appeal - Back road leading off the B526 from Gayhurst towards Weston Underwood (called Stoke Road) |
||
Hello Resident,
We are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on the back road (off the B526) between Gayhurst and Weston Underwood involving a Silver Mercedes-Benz motor vehicle and a motorcyclist (partial registration LM04 or LN04).
The incident occurred at approximately 10.05 am on Sunday 13th July 2025 on the road leading off the B526 back road (called Stoke Road) between Gayhurst and Weston Underwood - What3Words is https://w3w.co/recapture.reserving.paces.
There was a group of cyclists (direction of travel heading from Weston Underwood towards Gayhurst) and on the other side of the road, there was another group of cyclists (direction of travel from Gayhurst towards Weston Underwood), so traffic on either side of the road was slow and the cars were going at approx. 15 mph, when the motorcyclist tried to pass all the vehicles on the left and just as a car from the opposite direction was passing, a loud bang was heard causing considerable damage to the Mercedes-Benz side of the car and damage to the wing mirror and narrowly missing the cyclists. Another vehicle also got hit causing damage to their wing mirror as well. The rider would have known that they had hit a vehicle as they were seen to wobble after the crash and then carry on riding. Just prior to the accident, the rider had been seen to be weaving in and out of the vehicles, riding in a dangerous, erratic manner. The motorcyclist was wearing a black and yellow helmet.
Police Community Support Officer, PCSO C1018 Arlene Ormston based at Newport Pagnell Police station said; “We would like to speak to anyone who has information, CCTV or dash cam footage within the area at this time to please come forward. We are hoping that some of the cyclists may have had a GoPro on their helmets. If the motorcycle passed through Weston Underwood, does anyone in the High Street have CCTV that may have picked up the registration of the motorbike? Or if the direction of travel for the motorbike was going towards Stoke Goldington, does anyone have CCTV in Stoke Goldington of the motorcycle going through their village? Or have you seen this motorcycle before and know who it belongs to please? Were you one of the vehicles waiting to pass the cyclists?
